Portraits

Portraits are my utmost favorite because we can be so expressive with just our faces. In my portraits, I want to portray my models as being in control of what they want the viewer to see.

Pairing photos can be a fun way to enhance the photos and add a story. I was playing around with opposites here: Lihn on the left is more up close, personal, and her body language is more open with the positioning of her arms. On the right, it’s the opposite and withdrawn. It’s more pulled back, closed off, and her body language shows the arms lowered and guarded. Even the hair shows differences in moods: playfully messy and ruffled on one side, while the other side is neat and prim, keeping closer to the body.

In prompt to modeling in our AirBnb apartment. It was late December, and it was freezing outside, and there was a gorgeous blank wall and lamp spotlight that made this spot ideal.
